We are pleased to announce that following a diligent selection process, Gershon Katz has been chosen as the new Administrative Director of Congregation Beth-El. Gershon has accepted this position in addition to his role as Chazzan Sheini,
and as can be seen in his attached note, he is passionately committed to making our Shule a vibrant focal point of the community. We wish him Mazel Tov and look forward to working with him for many years to come.
We also wish to take this opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Stuart Eiley for his excellent work as Interim Executive Director over the past year. Stuart has been instrumental in establishing numerous systems and procedures that will ensure a more efficient administration of our synagogue’s operations for the future. Kol Hakavod, Stuart, for stepping up to the plate when we needed you the most and for your tremendous dedication to Beth-El.
We are very excited about the coming months at Beth-El. In addition to our wonderful Shabbat services, we will be offering a host of stimulating programs and events. We invite you to join us for our Purim festivities on March 23rd and 24th, our upcoming Yiddish and Hebrew sing-along on March 31st, our Holocaust lecture on April 13th, a special Shabbaton with guest Scholar in Residence Gilah Kletenik on April 15-16, and the debut of our Healthy Aging Speaker series on May 25th. All our members are also invited to attend the Yom Hashoah Commemoration on May 4th at Congregation Tiféreth Beth David Jérusalem, where our Cantor David Guber will be participating.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
