The Religious Committee is a permanent committee of the Synagogue. Its principal duties and responsibilities are to:
(a) Review practices within the Congregation relating to ritual, tradition and religious practice in consultation with the clergy and the Parnass, and submit its recommendations to the Board of Trustees for consideration and approval.
(b) Provide guidance to and act in consultation with the clergy on all religious matters including observance of Kashrut in the Synagogue, but excluding questions of Halacha and interpretation thereof which falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Rabbi.
(c) Act as a liaison between the membership at large and the clergy in regard to all matters of religious concern.
