Beth-El is extremely proud of this year’s Simchat Torah honourees. Our volunteers are all extremely appreciated and we are so happy to have the opportunity at Simchat Torah to highlight and honour at least a few of the individuals that have made such a big difference with their dedication and seemingly endless energy.
Take few moments and get to know our Simchat Torah Honourees a little better.
Then come to the Simchat Torah Service and Luncheon (October 17, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. and noon) and wish them a well-deserved Mazel Tov for all their hard work!
As a member of Congregation Beth-El for over 40 years, Jack has been active on the Board of Directors and the Executive for many years, participating in the many important decisions taken over time. He has also served as the Congregation’s treasurer.
Raised in a traditional Jewish family by his parents, Rose and Max Rosenthal of blessed memory, he married Estelle (Essie) Kaminsky 53 years ago. They are blessed with three daughters Debra, Joanne, and Allison – and 7 of the most beautiful and intelligent grandchildren – all of whom either attend or have graduated from the Jewish day school system.
Jack received his C.A. designation in 1961 and continues to practice as a life member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Quebec.
Much of his leisure time is spent volunteering for various charitable activities which affords him the opportunity of giving back to the community where he has spent his life.
Jack feels truly humbled to have been considered for this honour.
